Hello there, and welcome to my portfolio. I have been designing, modelling and illustrating professionally since the late 90’s. My main focuses are branding and 3D modelling, in particular the fusion of these 2 disciplines to bring company logos boldly into the digital world.
Alongside freelancing, I spent a decade in-house for global engineering giants – BOC Edwards and Schneider Electric, and a 2 year brand-merge project in-house as the National Design Manager for Leaders Romans Group, one of the UK’s largest property companies. Thus, I have honed my skills particularly in technical artwork and illustration, and industrial and product modelling. I have combined these design skills with extensive people and process management experience, also covering all aspects of recruiting and HR.
I’ve physically worked in the UK, Spain, Germany and the Czech Republic, and remotely for clients in the United States of America, France and The Netherlands. I’ve trained designers in Germany and the Czech Republic, designed and hosted global events in Europe, and project-managed a department relocation to central Europe.
With extensive experience in branding, brand development and consultancy, I have successfully performed the role of Brand Guardian for several large global companies over the past decade. This has included designing, updating and enforcing a wide range of brand guidelines, templates, colour palettes and supporting graphics.
In my late 20s I lived in the Czech Republic, project-managing the relocation of the Global Spares Centre for BOC Edwards from the UK. This documentation-heavy area of the business was redesigned by me, and then transferred to central Europe, where I headed a team to clone the UK cell, train operators and designers, before overseeing the initial running of the department, and then finally handing it over to the Czech nationals.
